
The year 2007 will go down as a very successful one for singer Da’Ville who scored well with several chart-topping singles locally and overseas. Da’Ville also did a number of successful tours of Canada, Europe, Japan, USA and the Caribbean.
In continuing the trend for 2008, Da’Ville will be very busy working on new tracks and looking towards putting out a new album. For him, the focus is to work off a vibes with the main emphasis to get more recording material.
“I have been jotting down a lot of crazy ideas as they come to mind as to what I will be working on. From that I will chose what is best to go in the studios, then give it my best shot,” Da’Ville said.
Da’Ville’s Fashozy label continues to do well, so too is his latest single ‘Yesterday’, which just entered Richie B’s Jamaica Music Countdown Chart. The single ‘Fling It Up Pon Me’ on the Big Yard label is also enjoying good chart standing in the Top 10 position on local and US charts. It is also getting a lot of airplay.
The former lead singer of the group ARP, Da’Ville has certainly taken his solo career to the highest level. A great songwriter and producer, he continues to build a strong fan base in Europe, Asia, USA and the Caribbean.
According to Da’Ville’s Khool Entertainment publicist, Ray Alexander, “Da’Ville has a passion for the music and knows exactly what his fans want. He is very determined and committed to his work and it will surely bring more success for him.”
Some of Da’Ville’s popular hits songs that have taken him to the top of the musical ladder are: ‘Always On My Mind’, ‘Can’t Get Over You’, ‘This Time I Promise’, ‘In Heaven’, ‘Hey Baby’, ‘My Grade’ and ‘Give Thanks For What You’ve Got’, among others.
It is no doubt, 2007 had been another successful year for Da’Ville who was named the Singer Of The Year by Stone Love and Most Improved Artiste by International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRWMA) for 2006.
