Los Angeles, Southern California [FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] – August 15, 2008, Adamari Empire in association with CaribPress & The African Marketplace is proud to announce the launch of The Labor Day ParkFest Los Angeles 2008. Parkfest is a local community based Labor Day festival for all inner city Reggae fans across the Greater Los Angeles to come and enjoy original Reggae music in a relaxed, authentic outdoor environment. We strongly encourage families to attend as this is very much a children friendly event.
Parkfest LA launches on Labor Day 2008 with a classic line up of Reggae legends and stars. Headlining the Parkfest celebration is Gregory Isaacs who will be performing his huge Reggae hits including “Night Nurse”, “Rumours” and much more. Gregory is one of the most respected Reggae artists in the industry, still going strong after three decades in the business. A must to see for all Reggae fans.
Next on stage is Shinehead who will be performing his hit dancehall tunes like “Who The Cap Fit”, “Know How Fe Chat”, the cover of Sting’s chart smash “Englishman In New York” and much more including new material. This is defintely a must for all Reggae fans to see Shinehead on the same outdoor stage as Gregory Isaacs. Be warned Shinehead made a brief appearance at the Dub Club recently playing with David Rodigan, he performed one tune and was the talk of the nite. At Parkfest Shinehead will perform a whole set. Not to be missed. Also on stage is ladies Lovers Rock man Glen Washington and local Los Angeles artists Eljai Royal, Ras Indio, E-dee and a couple more guest surprises.
