ABOUT WARD 21:
Ward 21 – named after the psychiatric ward of Jamaica's University College Hospital: their sound is an insane mix of hardcore ragga/dancehall and massive hip-hop beats – a true reflection of the international flavour that influences youths in Jamaica and worldwide today.
Ward 21 – their unique sound which is often pirated: has spawned huge hits like Haters: "Judgement Day" and "Bloodstain" – included on this debut album. Mentally Disturbed is the ultimate collection of this mad band's crazy recordings.
ABOUT BADDAS RADIO:
Tobi Fresh:
Being a dancehall fanatic since the turn of the millennium Tobi Fresh, has worked in various fields in the scene. First and foremost as MC for Upliftment Int'l. As recording, mixing and mastering engineer – working as well on Top50 productions as on underground hits.
His love for radio began early – he was 14 when he was hosting his first radio show. The passion for the medium never left him, so it was just natural to him to found a radio show with his pals.
Tom A. Giddeon:
Being a selector for over a decade and sharing stages with artistes Konshens, Degree or even hip hop celebrity RZA makes TOM the musical authority of BADDAS Radio. He makes sure the tunes are wicked and the selection is steady.
Rough Kut:
Rough Kut is selecting and producing since 2006, having studied at SAE and working as "the audio guy" for national and international TV-productions he knows how to add a little spice to the audio production of BADDAS. Together with Tom he is choosing which tunes enter the show and which don't.
