This is the Friday Night Special on Big Up Radio. FNS is a front row seat to the dancehall reggae sound system scene, the rails on which reggae music rides. Today FNS showcase India's very first sound system. Known collectively as Reggae Rajahs, and invidually as DJ MoCity, Diggy Dang and Mr. Herbalist aka General Zooz, they can each claim to share a milestone with the great Bob Marley in that Reggae Rajahs also celebrate their birthday every February 6. In the most recent case, their 4th anniversary, the Rajahs are taking to the streets with Polish reggae ambassadors Dreadsquad and Kasia Malende. For those of us who arent able to catch one of their 5 shows scheduled Feb 6-10 all over India they did leave us a wicked anniversary mix including many of the artists who, they say, "we've been lucky enough to meet and work with along the way".
