Dancehall artiste Zayne is ready to take his music to the world. The Jamaican born, Florida-based young talent has been recording and working towards his goals steadily and everything is set for the release of his first set of singles and music videos.
Zayne takes his career and music very serious and is in charge of not just how own lyrics but also the riddims and musical compositions of his songs. He is dedicated and has strong work ethics that have prepared him to achieve his goals and be the best he can be.
Like many other artists before him the young artiste started off singing in a church choir when growing up in Portland, Jamaica with a grandfather who owned a sound system. As a child, Zayne used every opportunity to play with the sound system and soon he began to transition from singing gospel to more secular songs. His inspiration came from artists such as Buju Banton, Jah Cure, Sizzla, Bob Marley and other culture based entertainers.
Zayne eventually relocated to Florida to attend school and study aircraft engineering. By 2009 however the talent started to take more frequent trips to his native Jamaica to also continue his career in music. He would voice for producers such as Red Boom, Digital Sham, Benji and others and whenever possible, he would
performs at stage shows in and around Petersburg and Tampa in Florida.
Over the past two years, Zayne has recorded several singles such as “My Hero”, “Party in JA” and “Look How Long,“ amongst others and started working with record labels like Frenz For Real, Hard At Work, Money Green and Digitalize Records.
Zayne is currently working on more music and a new video is slated to be released before the summer of 2012.
