Ziggi’s debut album, "So Much Reasons" released on the Rock(n)Vibes label is sure to bring smiles to his fans and dancehall lovers from the four corners of earth. What I look for in a new dancehall CD is one that starts of hittin’, and continues to keep di groove throughout. I also like to hear new collaborations, and there is no shortage here. Elephant Man, Shanaira Rey, and Turbulence just to name a few. The tracks flow well, and the dancehall vibes are in full effect. This is energy music, something to dance too, something to work to, or even to spend some quality time with your girl,(or man). I like up-beat high energy reggae music to drive to as well, and this CD would make a good "road trip" even better. Throughout the album, there are brief interviews with Ziggi about his content on "So Much Reasons" There is a balance of conscious tunes, and lovers rock, and Ziggi presents his style as guest artists lend their personal flava. I like the blend of anti-violence messages for the youth dem "High Time", mixed with love songs like "Call Me". Let’s face it if there were more man at home with dem gal in dem bed, then they can’t be out in da streets an’ bus’ dem gun. Seen? The executive producer "Mr. Rude", Berteaut Fleming, has tapped into Ziggi’s raw talent, and pure vibes to create a work that both men can be proud of. There are so many potential and current hits on this album that you will keep going back to listen to it again and again. I have always been a huge fan of Turbulence, and the remix of "Notorious" with Ziggi is a another great version of this ever popular tune, and is a must have for any dancehall DJ. Other tracks that stands out, is "Girls," with a Latin kind of vibe, I wouldn’t be surprised if a Reggaeton artist picks up this riddim in the future. "Strictly Hot Gyal" is a new dancehall staple. "love to see di Gyal in dem tight clothes, watch dem inna di club and dem model and pose" I love to see dem too Ziggi! The song is a strong statement to the wonderful vibes all women posses, and is tasteful and respectful. "All My Girls" featuring Mega D is already a club favorite. Ziggi proclaims "me say fi leggo babylon lifestyle, the wrong lifestyle." in "Screw Face". Wisdom lyrics, chant dem down Ziggi! The wicked man gwan fi tremble when they feel this lyrical fyah! "Yin Yan" featuring Dos Uno, has a dancehall/hip-hop sound that is very popular with the youth throughout the nations. "Empress" is a tribute to the mothers of civilization. Again the Latin vibes are present, complimented by Ziggi playing classical acoustic guitar, check it out, this track is off the chain. The album ends on the track "Hear Me When I Pray", a true song of inspiration for I and I. "I pray and hope you guide me lord, through all these rocky roads." Blessed Love, One Inity. Trod on with your works Ziggi, and we will continue to support the I.
