(Kingston, Jamaica) Dancehall Diva CE’CILE is bubbling these days. With her song “HOT LIKE DAT” from producers Leftside & Esco’s Giggy Riddim still bouncing along, she’s dropped another controversial tune for Jamaica. Producer Richard ‘Shams’ Browne has re-released the popular BADDIS Riddim with a new crop of tracks. Ce’Cile’s own “WOMAN TINGS” is a playful release pointing out a disturbing trend in men’s fashion in Jamaica; the "tight-tight" pants phenomenon.
As with her song “Changez” this good-humored release is generating a strong buzz. Keeping the pace set with “HOT LIKE DAT”, CeCile recorded a video to assist the song’s growing popularity. Shot in Jamaica by director Julia Brahm the video is clear, enjoyable and plays on the song’s lyrics. Capitalizing on the last 45 seconds is the inclusion of an intro for her song “TEDDY BEAR” on the Irish Dance Riddim. One of the most talked about parts of the video, TEDDY BEAR showcases Ce’Cile in a very becoming and sexy light furthering her established hold as Dancehall’s finest female.
The new video is debuting on her website the week of January 16th 2006. The lyrics to “WOMAN TINGS” have been added as well. The song is already starting to chart and is featured in the Mega Jamz Top 20 Dancehall Chart this week. Right now, the song is steaming up South Florida as well and is getting heavily requested on LYNKS FM. Further, Ce’Cile’s website has had a slight redesign with a new set of pictures that you can view at: http://www.cecileflava.com.
The video has been playing on HYPE TV where it is presently in the COUNTDOWN. You now can view HYPE TV Internationally threw DIRECT TV. It’s a special package that also seems to be accessible to those with DIRECT TV’s International dish.
