HIS REGGAE ANTHOLOGY: THE SWEET SOUND OF COCOA TEA IN STORES THIS WEEK
The Associated Press recently announced that Cocoa Tea, real name Calvin Scott, has released a new tune supporting the Illinois senator Barack Obama – "what could be an influential endorsement among reggae fans." Cocoa Tea’s new song found on Dailymotion proclaims "This is not about class nor color, race nor creed. It’s about the changes, what the Americans need." The single will be released digitally on VP Records this month.
Cocoa Tea also releases his Reggae Anthology: The Sweet Sound of Cocoa Teathis week (March 11) through the VP Records imprint label 17 North Parade. Cocoa Tea’s musical career is venerated through this two-disc anthology spanning his entire musical profession and includes early hits such as "Lost My Sonia" and "Rocking Dolly" as well as socially provoking songs like "Riker’s Island" and recent releases such as "Save Us Oh Jah."
This truly timeless singer has flawlessly been able to adjust to the passing trends in Jamaican music. As it was predicted on his debut album and new song… You can try, but you just can’t stop Cocoa Tea!
