STORM, founded in 2002, consists of two experienced and talented artists, Denton Bedward, aka “Monsoon” and Lenny “Kurlou” Salmon. Previously, both individuals began their musical careers early in life, possessing strong talents for reggae in their own unique style. Since the formation of STORM, the two have become known as one of the most progressive reggae groups and promise to musically expand in growth and success. Superior singer/DJ, (aka Monsoon) was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. Possessing a natural passion for reggae music, he began his musical career by opening with the B&L Crew, Johnny P, Singing Melody and Macka Diamond. Monsoon expanded his horizons by sharing his talents in the United States and has opened for world renowned artists such as Elephant Man, Capelton, Luciano, and Steel Pulse. For the past 7 years he has been a member of Washington, D.C.’s Cricket League and has won 4 championships. Monsoon has been recognized by D.C.’s Reggae Music Awards as the “Best DJ” for the past 4 years. Singer/ Songwriter Lenny “Kurlou” Salmon was born in Cockburn Pen, Kingston, Jamaica. Blessed with talents in singing and performing, Lenny Kurlou gained inspiration from his older brother, Power Saw.
