November is Drug Awareness Month in Jamaica, and as such the Gregory Isaacs Foundation, with the support of leading Reggae label Tad's Record Inc and the African Museum label, has launched an anti-drug campaign featuring Reggae legend Gregory Isaacs. Throughout his 42 year career, the late Reggae icon battled a crippling addiction to cocaine and numerous drug-related arrests. Spearheaded by Isaacs' widow, June Isaacs, the public service announcement is being aired on all television stations throughout the island.
Reggae Vybration
Reggae Vybration endorses the inititive of this Ant-Drugs Campaigne. Sista June Isaacs, Tad's Record Inc. and African Museum Label, thumbs up. I do think though, that this campaigne needs to continue beyond November, and more artistes need to become a part of this venture. Even the business people needs to be more pro-active and join in.
