Melloquence relentless effort in promoting his music online, lead to his meeting Carl Newman of Big Already Entertainment an Artiste Manager whose company is based in the United Kingdom. Big Already Entertainment realizing his potential, offered the young artiste a long term contract then immediately set in motion plans to build Melloquence’s career from ground up before officially introducing him to the European market.
Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall should have provided a major platform from which to offset his career but that idea was shot after an early elimination from the competition. Suffice to say however that Melloquence walked away more confident than he had ever been upon entering.
The 23 year old artiste who will be celebrating his 24th birthday on February 25th, benefitted from a Reggae/Dancehall soaked upbringing in Commodore, a small district nestled in the heart of Linstead in the parish of St. Catherine. His musical style is a combination of Dancehall, Reggae, Hip-Hop and R&B hooks and melodies while his focus is to create fun music. Melloquence enjoy entertaining the females which makes him the typical “ladies man”. With radio promotion underway for singles, No Fool for Love and Royal Woman, he hopes to capture the hearts of his fellow Jamaicans and to be totally accepted by them for his work and aspiration to elevate his status of becoming an internationally acclaimed Reggae/Dancehall artiste.
Cush Hunta’s impressive performance at the recent Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) mass meeting held in downtown Kingston has lead to the request for his re- appearance at the annual Garvey Fair on February 28th in Manchester. Cush’s single, Ready Fi Buss is a Cashflow Production on the “Give Thanks” riddim which also feature I-Octane’s hit single Thank You Father, Lutan Fyah “Mighty Mouth”, Hyah Slice, “Love me Up” to name a few.
Over the past few weeks it has become notable that several websites have published articles featuring Nesbeth. Interestingly and for most, the story line surrounds the recent development of his “Drive By” single and video and the songs’ region to region top spot chart movement. Drive By is quickly becoming Nesbeth’s biggest song date and now sits at number 1 on Jamaica Music Countdown Charts for three (3) consecutive weeks, making this a first ever for the artiste on any local chart. Nesbeth’s, “Boardhouse” single which also did well on the charts locally and internationally only spent 2 weeks on any local chart but eventually made Greensleeves Record 2007 “Biggest Reggae One Drop Anthem” compilation album.
Nesbeth now relishes the opportunity to promote his music island wide on board the TVJ Cross Country Tour, ‘such a tour can only enhance the momentum that currently surrounds my music’ said Nesbeth. His genuine love for writing songs and performing live has led to his having “surreal feelings” in response to watching his career swell.
