
THE ELIMINATIONS for Miss Jamaica World 2004 takes place on Sunday, August 1, at the Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston.
The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and will see contestants parading for a panel of judges following which the finalists will be chosen.
The eliminations form part of a fitness and health extravaganza organised by Spartan Health Club. There will be displays, give-aways, demonstrations as well as fitness, body building and gymnastics
performances.
This year, in keeping with the Miss World pageant, Spartan has introduced three mini competitions to the Miss Jamaica World pageant — Miss Jamaica (World) Talent, Miss Jamaica (World) Sport and the Miss Jamaica (World) Beach Beauty.
Promoters are promising a lucrative package of prizes for the new queen, including two scholarships valued at more than $1 million courtesy of the University College of the Caribbean in Kingston, first class travel en route to the Miss World pageant in China courtesy of Air Jamaica, an advertising and modelling contract from Spartan Health Club valued at $250,000 and the Jergens Cash Award of $100,000.

Finals take place Sunday, August 1 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston.
