Recently David wrote a song which was submitted to the United Nations and within weeks he was informed that the single titles, “This is our World” has been uploaded on the United Nations website providing background sounds. Nesbeth is reporting the completion of 7 of 16 tracks for his debut album. Last year, the artiste had mentioned his intention of releasing an album in an effort to lift his career to yet another level. ‘Things are working as planned’ says Nesbeth ‘of course I must admit, much more than anticipated but quick to point out that much more is needed to be done as we still have a long way to go”. Nesbeth will be shopping the album in hope of landing a ‘good deal’ with a reputable company. The album he says will include his potential international hit song “Drive By” and follow up single “A Nuh So Mi Want Live”. As he celebrates his 22nd birthday, Reggae/Dancehall artiste Melloquence who hails from Commodore, a small district in Linstead, St. Catherine is pleased with the recent influx of radio airplay that his singles No Fool for Love and Royal Woman has been getting on local radio. “The journey has only just begun for me but it really feels good” he said when asked to comment on recent development in his career. Melloquence performs this weekend, Saturday February 27th at the University of the West Indies, Taylor Hall Lawns. The event is called Culture Vibration and will feature other performances from some of Reggae and Dancehalls’ young giants; Taurus Riley, G. Wizz, Ras Penco, Kiprich, Aidonia, Chino, Laden, QQ and more… Cush Hunta prepares for the production of a medley video with I-Octane where they will both entertain fans with a live rendition of their popular tracks on the “Give Thanks” riddim produced by Cashflow. I-Octane’s “Thank You Father” track on the riddim is currently receiving massive airplay on all major radio station locally. The juggling is a popular selection for both local radio and sound system djs and so music fans are accustom to hearing Thank You Father by I-Octane followed immediately by Cush’s “Ready Fi Buss” track and so creating a medley is a musical treat for the fans as they get a chance to see both artiste perform their songs in the same video. When Texas born and bred Reggae duo Roots Revealers hit the stage of the 6th Annual Bob Marley Wear Affair at 4:00 am in Houston Texas last weekend, the over 450 patrons in attendance at the Multi Cultural Center were pleasantly surprised at their show of prowess in handling the stage and delivery of their authentic Reggae materials. The audience showed its approval and appreciation for their performance with massive applause, shouts and screams. Roots Revealers were invited in studio by DJ RJ on KAVI 88.7 FM in Houston for a live interview. DJ RJ’s “Reggae Evolution” radio show is aired live each week to a huge radio audience of African Americans and has been in business for over 25 years, DJ RJ has been apart of the KAVI 88.7 team for over 5 years. Roots Revealers also did an interview that same week on CHRY FM in Canada with Radio Jock Mickey Sterling, further creating a buzz and establishing a fan base in Toronto. Currently the duo are one of the most popular Reggae artists to emerge out of Texas.
