We are proud to announce that the Ghetto Princess of the Dancehall Tanya Stephens is in house with the Nowadayz Dancehall Show on BigUpRadio.com.
Tanya Stephens shot into the world of Dancehall Reggae at a time when slackness was the vehicle most female entertainers used to get exposure. Tanya engaged in the proliferation of some of the most provocative lyrics in Dancehall history by contributing such explicit hits as “Handle Da Ride” and “Yu Nuh Ready Fi This Yet”.
However, Tanya went on to prove that she would not be limited to the confines of heavy sexual content that her counterparts seemed to be. She reinvented what is means to be a female Dancehall Reggae entertainer.
She abandoned the style “sing-jaying” about sexual adventures and she embraced the importance of social and political issues. Just listen to “Mi God” and “Come a Long Way” and you will see what we mean.
Tanya is back at us harder than ever with a new album “Rebelution.” Thanks to our friend Carl at 99% Entertainment who set up the interview, she will be joining us for an exclusive discussion at Nowadayzdancehall.com. at BigUpRadio.com. This may be your first or only chance to hear what one of the most prolific female artists in music has to say. Don’t miss out! Please join us!
