
The 27th annual Ragga Muffins Festival starts next weekend and continues through the 23rd of February. Starting in Long Beach, CA (the largest of the three festivals), and continuing on to Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz Dayz), and finishing up in San Francisco. Ragga Muffins festival is the largest winter reggae festival in California.
The impressive line up features many great reggae artists, many of whom have a very established fan base, and also some newer names that are gaining popularity with the reggae massive.
The Ragga Muffins Festival’s long standing history of putting together outstanding Roots and Dancehall lineups is the perfect way to celebrate Black History Month with your friends and family.
The Long Beach Shows will have two days of music to uplift the people dem, and give dem a weekend to remember. Artists performing in Long Beach Include Anthony B, Tarrus Riley, Sly And Robbie, Gregory Issacs, Cherine Anderson, Gentleman, Ed Robinson, Rootz Underground, Beenie Man, Capleton, Alpha Blondy, Midnite, Collie Buddz, Queen Ifrica, and many more.
The Santa Cruz show (one day) features some of the headliners from Long Beach, Gentleman, Gregory Issacs, Anthony B, Midnite, in addition to Northern California’s own, "Lion Camp" featuring Ishi Dube, and Jah Sun.
The last Show on the Ragga Muffins Tour is San Francisco. Headlining again are Midnite, Gregory Issacs, Alpha Blondy, Gentleman, Anthony B, and in addition Barrington Levy and Soul Majestic will be added to the line up in S.F.
It is good for our spirit and soul to come together in one Inity, to celebrate Bob Marley’s earthday, to celebrate Black History month, and to show our support and love to musicians and singers that make this world a better place through their works.
