A.J.’s Brewing Co., located in Peddler’s Village in Angola, will present its first concert event Tuesday when Grammy-winning reggae vocalist Burning Spear performs with his band.
The Jamaica-based Burning Spear is in the midst of his 35th anniversary tour, which also supports the recent CD reissues of his “Rasta Business,” “Resistance,” “People Of the World” and “Living Dub Vol. 2” albums.
Jason Kennedy and his wife, Andrea Winward-Kennedy, who opened the restaurant in January, said they will also use the occasion to unveil a line of custom micro-brews. Jason Kennedy is the former head brewer for Dogfish Head, but the couple said the line of A.J.’s beers is being produced by the Dover-based Fordham Brewery, which also brews for the Rams Head restaurant chain.
Other reggae concerts may take place at A.J.’s later this summer, the Kennedys said.
