The twentieth anniversary Western Consciousness concert in Sav-La-Mar, Jamaica is taking place this April 26. Held at the Llandilo Cultural Centre, this show has represented conscious roots and culture music in Westmoreland for two strong decades. The promoter Worrell King, of King of Kings promotions, dubbed this music festival "a celebration of good over evil.”
"The line-up this year will comprise many of the veterans who were there at the start and through years have established with their high quality performances the kind of show and that Western Consciousness is renowned for," King stated in an interview with the Jamaica Observer. King also added that "The line-up will also include a number of the new wave of artistes who have been making their mark on the music scene."
Performing this year will be many returning veterans like Edi Fitzroy, Ras Moses(Beenie Man), Michael Rose, Josey Wales, George Nooks, Anthony B, Buju Banton, Tony Rebel, and Bushman. Some of the newer talent gracing the stage this year will be Etana, Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, I Wayne, Chuck Fenda, Teflon, Andrew Tosh, Queen Ifrica, Richie Spice, Demarco and more. Elise Kelly and Cordell Green will MC and the SANE band is backing the artist’s dem.
