Ivaneccia Anastacia Smith (ReBirth) was born on November 11: 1983. She was born in Nassau on the beautiful island of New Providence: Bahamas: the first of two children born to insurance agent Shernita Smith and the second of six children born to radio personality and Sportscaster Ivan "Showtime" Francis. As a child Ivaneccia was very artistic and athletic: she played basketball: ran track & field and imitated various Reggae: R&-B and Pop singers. In 1995: at the age of twelve Smith performed at her primary school St.Cecilia's spring break festival and again in 1996 she performed at her primary school's Christmas production along with another schoolmate Giovannia Demeritte.
Miss Smith later graduated primary school and attended Aquinas College where she was the star player on the basketball team and one of the lead singers in the high school renowned group entitled "Mystique." The group sang mainly old soulful gospel hymns and R&-B songs. Smith left Aquinas College on a partial basketball scholarship and moved on to attend Faith Temple Christian Academy: where she was again the star of the basket ball team that won the "B.I.A.S.S" championship the very same year. Smith along with three of the young ladies from the former group"- Mystique"- also went on to attend Faith Temple Christian Academy and had created an untitled group who was very famous among their fellow schoolmates.
