Baijie says, “I want back that pulsating beat and the type of argument where one line is of significance. You see, I am not a bling bling singer. I am a message singer.” “I approach music totally different. It have to have melodies. It have to have bass. And it have to impress people, whether you black, white, purple, no matter. The bottom line is, I want to make a mark with it.”
While most music in Jamaica “nah pass the port” (it doesn’t leave the country), “That’s Life” is prepared to set sail everywhere.
Baijie and Truckback Records will be shooting the video for “That’s Life” in late March. Teaming up with Director Ras Tingle and Producer Danielle Deslume of TDFilms, Kingston Jamaica. Look out for the world wide video release in April 2009.
